Micro Electricity, a Taiwan-based provider of renewable energy solutions, announced on November 11 that it has signed a green power procurement agreement with Advantech, a leading industrial computer manufacturer. Over the next six years, Micro Electricity will supply approximately 40 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green electricity through an integrated, long-term power wheeling model (in contrast to direct supply), supporting Advantech’s commitment to green energy usage.
Since 2022, Advantech has collaborated with Micro Electricity to invest in the construction of solar power plants as part of its renewable energy strategy. This year, Micro Electricity, through its energy sales subsidiary Whale Energy, further expanded this partnership by signing another green power procurement agreement. The new contract incorporates power plant investments, proprietary green energy, and power wheeling. Over the next six years, Micro Electricity will supply around 40 million kWh of green electricity under this integrated power transfer and sales model, aiding Advantech in achieving its long-term green energy goals.
Mindi Wang (王愍迪), Chairman of Micro Electricity, noted that the company has long been committed to developing solar power plants and energy data management. This dedication has enabled them to build a comprehensive platform encompassing renewable energy assets, maintenance and operations, green electricity, and energy management.
The
chairman added that as renewable energy continues to grow rapidly,
leveraging data for energy management to achieve optimal
cost-effectiveness will become an inevitable trend.
With green electricity as the starting point, the partnership with
Advantech is progressing toward a more integrated energy management
ecosystem, supporting the sustainable development of the manufacturing
sector from Taiwan to global markets.
