At CES 2025, DFI Inc. partnered with DEEPX, a South Korean AI chip startup, to unveil an industrial-grade edge AI computing platform. Equipped with the DEEPX DX-M1 AI accelerator, this cutting-edge platform is designed to enable innovative smart city applications. The collaboration underscores both companies' dedication to driving advancements in device-focused and application-oriented AI technologies.

During the event, DFI unveiled two fanless embedded systems powered by the DEEPX DX-M1 M.2 AI accelerator: the EC710-ASL and EC600-RPS. These systems are purpose-built to address the real-time computing requirements of smart cities, supporting applications such as smart transportation, surveillance, and accident prevention. Featuring Intel Atom and 14th/13th/12th generation Intel processors, along with Intel TCC technology, the systems deliver precise, low-power, and low-latency real-time performance.

According to a report by Research and Markets, the global Edge AI market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.54%, rising from USD 23.57 billion in 2024 to USD 59.97 billion by 2029. DFI's integration with the DX-M1 AI accelerator offers a versatile, efficient, and sustainable Edge AI solution, making it perfectly suited for applications within the smart city sector.

DFI's industrial-grade hardware platform, enhanced by the AI processing capabilities of the DEEPX DX-M1, offers outstanding computing performance and broad application versatility. The DX-M1 can efficiently handle over 16 video streams on a single chip, achieving real-time processing at over 30 frames per second with GPU-level precision, while delivering up to 25 TOPS of AI performance and significantly reducing energy consumption. Its adaptability allows the platform to run multiple AI algorithms simultaneously, such as object recognition and image classification, making it an excellent choice for applications in industrial robotics, machine vision, and AI-driven industrial computers.

DFI recently launched several new products, including the ASL253 single-board computer powered by Intel Atom processors, the EB100-MTU NUC system featuring Intel Core Ultra processors, a self-developed Out-of-Band (OOB) module, and a virtualization technology platform. These innovations leverage value-added technologies to enhance hardware performance, streamline remote management, and boost AI efficiency. DFI also announced plans to strengthen its collaboration with DEEPX, integrate distribution channels and AI partners, and expedite the deployment of edge AI projects in the future.
