Advantech's March Revenue Hits Record High with Both Month-over-Month and Year-over-Year Growth

Industrial computing leader Advantech reported March revenue of US$194.58 million, reflecting a 19.42% month-over-month increase and a 25.61% year-over-year growth—setting a new record for the company’s highest-ever monthly revenue. Consolidated revenue for the first quarter reached US$533.94 million, up 25.02% from the same period last year, marking the second-highest quarterly result in company history.

In light of the current tariff environment, Advantech announced ongoing efforts to enhance its U.S. footprint, including the establishment of a second North American headquarters. Notably, some system-level assemblies are already being carried out domestically to better support customers’ local production needs.

Eric Chen, Advantech’s CFO and General Manager of Corporate Management, noted that the company as a whole—as well as its three major regional markets—continues to maintain a book-to-bill (B/B) ratio above 1.00. This reflects a solid rebound in overall business performance and sustained growth in market momentum.

Chen emphasized that, in response to growing market demand for edge computing and AI, Advantech is leveraging its strengths in hardware-software integration to actively expand its influence in these technologies. The company is also strengthening collaboration across its global ecosystem to deliver comprehensive end-to-cloud solutions—supporting industrial customers in accelerating digital transformation and sustaining their competitive position in the era of AI.

In March, markets in North America, Europe, China, and Taiwan stood out as key contributors to Advantech’s revenue, posting year-over-year growth rates of 28%, 22%, 14%, and 26%, respectively. Revenue from emerging markets remained stable compared to the same period last year, while both Japan and South Korea experienced a year-over-year decline.

In terms of Advantech’s business group performance, the Intelligent Systems Group (iSystem), the IoT Automation Group (iAutomation), and the Intelligent Services Group (iService) all posted strong results, with year-over-year growth of 26%, 31%, and 21%, respectively. The Embedded Sector achieved overall annual growth of 10%, driven by a 12% increase in Embedded IoT & Peripheral Systems (EIoT). Meanwhile, the Applied Computing Group (ACG) saw a year-over-year increase of 8%.

Looking at cumulative revenue for the first three months, North America, Europe, China, and emerging markets exhibited the strongest regional performance, with year-over-year growth rates of 23%, 25%, 11%, and 24%, respectively. The Taiwan and Japan markets saw single-digit year-over-year growth, while the South Korea market experienced a double-digit decline compared to the same period last year.

Regarding business group performance for cumulative revenue in the first three months, the Intelligent Services Group (iService) posted a strong 41% year-over-year increase, while the Intelligent Systems Group (iSystem) and the IoT Automation Group (iAutomation) grew by 27% and 20%, respectively. The Embedded Sector achieved overall growth of 11%, with Embedded IoT & Peripheral Systems (EIoT) rising by 12%, and the Applied Computing Group (ACG) saw a 9% year-over-year increase.
