Industrial computer manufacturer NEXCOM plans to list its subsidiary, GreenBase Technology, on the Emerging Stock Board in the second quarter of this year. GreenBase specializes in AI-driven edge computing for imaging and cloud service product development. Following its success in securing a large-scale port automation project in its second phase with Evergreen Marine, the company has also received OEM orders from a major U.S. corporation. Last year, GreenBase’s revenue reached US$15.35 million, and it aims to achieve double-digit growth this year.

 

In the first quarter of this year, GreenBase introduced high-end AI imaging cameras and image storage computing servers, integrating advanced image processing capabilities to enhance deep learning recognition accuracy. Recognized data is stored in high-capacity network cameras or embedded PoE industrial-grade hosts, optimizing storage efficiency while reducing edge computing deployment costs. These products are primarily used in law enforcement technology, port automation, and smart manufacturing.

GreenBase is reportedly the first domestic security provider to enter the port automation sector. The company has deployed “smart terminal” equipment at Evergreen Terminal No. 7 in Kaohsiung Port. The project, valued at US$6.02 million, is divided into two phases. Shipments began in 2023, and the second phase is expected to be completed and accepted by April this year, contributing additional revenue in the tens of millions of dollars.

 

Xingyao Yang (楊星耀), General Manager of GreenBase’s Imaging Business Division, stated that the company’s AI vision products can be seamlessly adapted to various industrial applications, acting as the "eyes" for different scenarios. In response to the challenges posed by extreme weather conditions, GreenBase developed its “SeesAll” technology. Equipped with high-precision recognition capabilities and real-time AI computing power, “SeesAll” delivers stable and clear visual performance even in harsh environments, including high-wind, salt-exposed seaports, high-temperature steel mills, severe storms, and outdoor conditions as cold as -40°C.

 

In addition, in 2019 GreenBase fully acquired DivioTec, a system integrator with a strong presence in the Thai market. DivioTec specializes in providing imaging solutions for smart transportation, smart terminals, and smart manufacturing. This acquisition has not only facilitated GreenBase’s expansion into the Southeast Asian market but also played a pivotal role in securing a major contract for Evergreen’s smart terminal project. Last year, DivioTec contributed US$3.61 million in revenue, showcasing outstanding performance.

 

Due to its strong growth, GreenBase has become a key profit driver for NEXCOM in recent years. In 2022, it generated a profit of over US$2.41 million, contributing US$1.93 million to NEXCOM. In 2023, its profit surged past US$3.01 million, reaching US$3.40 million. With a capital of US$6.02 million, this translates to an EPS of US$0.17. That year, GreenBase contributed US$2.62 million to NEXCOM’s earnings, accounting for 77% of NEXCOM’s total post-tax profit of US$5.39 million.

 

Despite weaker market conditions last year, GreenBase remained NEXCOM’s primary profit driver, posting a profit of US$1.39 million and an EPS of US$0.07 in the first three quarters. During this period, it contributed US$1.05 million to NEXCOM.
