This move aims to strengthen its core competitiveness and meet the growing demand for semiconductor and high-tech solutions in the ASEAN region. The new office will also double in size, reflecting the company's commitment to growth.
Advantech highlighted its long-standing collaboration with industry ecosystem partners and its ongoing efforts to foster local talent through industry-academia partnerships. Additionally, the Singapore office will support Advantech's Customized-to-Order Service (CTOS), reinforcing the company's strategy to deepen industry engagement and localization, while advancing the growth of the AIoT sector.
Vincent Chang (張敏忠), Advantech's Managing Director and Associate Vice President for the Asia & Intercontinental Region, stated that since its establishment in 1995, Advantech Singapore has evolved into a central hub for the ASEAN region, enabling the establishment of business units in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. This expansion marks a significant milestone in Advantech's nearly 30 years of development in Singapore.
Looking ahead, Advantech aims to establish Singapore as a center for business growth in the ASEAN region while continuing to foster comprehensive development in areas such as artificial intelligence, strategic planning, branding, public relations, and ESG initiatives.
Advantech has also announced the launch of the second year of the “AIoT Innowork” program in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic. This year, the program will focus on sustainable development, net-zero emissions, and generative AI. Students will utilize Advantech's cloud platform, WISE-PaaS, to develop AIoT solutions, which include a smart outdoor agriculture system on the Singapore Polytechnic campus and an intelligent monitoring system for electric vehicle charging parking spaces.
In response to the Singapore government's emphasis on future workforce development, Advantech and a student team from Singapore Polytechnic are collaborating on the development of a “Generative AI Virtual Sales Agent”. This project harnesses innovative AI technology to enhance sales and customer engagement, transforming the methods of customer interaction. The technology is anticipated to revolutionize customer engagement, bolster service support, and improve operational efficiency.
Furthermore, in light of the Singapore government's support for lifelong learning, Advantech Singapore is dedicated to promoting the “MySkillsFuture” program. Through collaborative efforts with industry ecosystem partners, academic institutions, and industry leaders, this initiative aims to cultivate a sustainable and thriving IoT ecosystem. While driving industry growth, Advantech also supports strategic partners in producing and distributing urban agricultural products to underserved communities, reinforcing its commitment to corporate social responsibility and ESG objectives.
